Biography |
- Niul, who employed Gaodhal, or Gathelus (Gael), who was the son of Ethor, to continue his father's language schools. Niul was invited to Egypt by Pharo where he married Pharaoh's daughter, Scota, reputed to have been the daughter who rescued Moses from the Bull-rushes. The Nile River was named after Niul according to tradtion.
It should be noted that Hieroglyphs using C, S, N were sometimes swapped. The change of endings of 'IS' to 'US' or 'RE' / 'RA'. So for Greek 'CI' possibly 'NI' or 'SI'. From Keatings a reference to a region along the Red Sea. I have found that besides Nubian campaigns the first King Amenemhet I of Twelfth Dynasty bef ca 1971 BC was a noble with his paternal ancestors being of minor line of Eleventh, and he married heiress of the Eleventh. His son by her was Sesotris I, also may be a candidate for Cincris. These two Kings were the first to have a capital near ITj-Tawe (near El Lisht of today). This is very similar to the mentioned name that Keating has in his footnote where these kings reigned. This southern capital was duplicated in the north ,later; and by other factors was probably near what was later Avaris which was settled by Semites in Twelfth who were gone near end Thirteenth when region seems to have been destroyed and mass removal of these semitic peoples from this city. Tracing the names NIA or NIU, find this was the name of Stewart and also a scribe in the 18th Dynasty.
