  • Notes
    • From the book "The Kartchner Family" compiled by Sarah P. Collinwood. Written by Pearl Robertson
"Henry, a farmer who in later years became a barber, is a hard worker.  He worked too hard on the farm and his heart gave out, so he turned to another trade.  He is as honest as the day is long.  His work is as good as his bond; he would cheat no man.
When he was eight years old he could hitch up a team and drive a load of freight over a rough road.  He married a good woman who has taken good care of him.
He is on the High Council and does lots of public speaking, especially at funerals.  He always says he "feels fine" no matter how he feels.  He loves the church and serves well.  His daughter and family filled a mission in England.  He has a keen sense of humor and never complains." [2]
