  • Notes
    • From the book "The Kartchner Family" compiled by Sarah P. Collinwood.  Written by Pearl Robertson
"Will Kartcher is the youngest of the family; he does not remember his mother.  Nancy (his fathers 2nd wife) raised him; he is just two months older than Nancy's oldest boy.  He has been the family leader all his life, always getting the family (both families) together for fun and relaxation and association.  You cannot talk of Will without his wife Minnie; they are so much one, one in purpose, one in love, one in achievement, one as husband and wife should be.  They both have a keen sense of fairness and justice.  They are both peacemakers; they bring peace and harmony everywhere they go.  They enjoy making people feel welcome around them and will do anything for anyone they possible can.  They filled a two-yeaar mission with the Indians and have been ordained Temple workers in Salt Lake.  They are very fairminded and always put the other fellows concern first.  All who know them love them.  Now that they are retired, they like to hunt, fish and travel.  They just plain enjoy life and in their words, everything is just great."

Written by Marla Kirby:  "Uncle Will as we called him had the greatest home.  It was a farm where he raised chickens.  He also had pigs and horses and cows.  We would go there for family get togethers.  We always roasted hot dogs on a fire and made homemade ice cream.  We played vollyball in the pasture.  Later a bonfire was made and the families sang songs.  His farm was in what is now West Valley."
