    Biography
    • Seven days after Archibald Jr., was born, his father, Arch. Sr., was  killed, "by his servant, Edmund, colored," as stated in the family Bible.

Notes from Cousin Charles Alexander Bethune:

Found in wills of Columbus County, NC:  "Archibald McKinnon, dated January 20, 1894, PP March 9, 1896; wife, Lily McKinnon, 157 acres in Cumberland, home and lot in Chadbourn where he now lives and all property.  Executor-Archibald Toon."

Cousin Charles believes this is the same Arch. McKinnon because Arch. Toon (the executor) married Harriet Amanda Cobb, an aunt of Arch. McKinnon's and Toon would be related  by marriage to both Lily and Arch. McKinnon.
    Died 1896
